Description
The attractive inlaid case with carved fret pediment having a scale registering from stormy to very dry and numbered from 28 to 31 and thermometer with enclosed cistern below.

Literary ref: Charles Howarth, fl. 1823-1852 lived at Ireland Farm near Shibden Industrial School, Halifax. He was succeeded by his son James and a grandson carried on the business.
