Irish Mahogany and Parcel Gilt Pier Mirror – SOLD

A George II period Irish mahogany and parcel-gilt pier mirror circa 1750.

Description

The rectangular plate within a carved foliate slip with egg and dart carved moulded border, the swan-neck pediment with centred basket cartouche above applied foliate carved moulding with similar carving in the shaped apron, the sides with applied foliate pendants. Retaining original mirror plate and gilding.

Attributed to John Booker, looking glass manufacturer Essex Bridge, Dublin , 1715-1750
