SOLD – Library Bookcase

A fine Mahogany Breakfront Bookcase made by Gillows for the Royal Hospital, Lancaster circa 1820

Description

Made from superbly figured and matched mahogany and crossbanded throughout. The upper section with moulded cornice above four original glazed astragal doors enclosing adjustable shelves. the lower section with central fitted secretaire drawer flanked either side by a frieze drawer above panelled cupboard doors opening to adjustable shelves, on bun feet.
