A fine George II period walnut veneer and gilded wood pier mirror circa 1730, in the design of William Kent
Description
The rectangular plate within a carved foliate slip with egg and dart carved moulded border, the applied scrolled crested swan-neck pediment with centred scrolled cartouche above a gilt-wood carved border and shaped apron, the sides with applied foliate pendants. Retaining original mirror plate and gilding and unusually generous size.
