Carlton House Desk
A late 18th century mahogany Carlton House Desk circa 1790
Description
The upper gallery with two short drawers on either side flanking two further inset short drawers and two cupboard doors below postage holes, centred with six dummy drawers concealing a fall front opening to reveal arrangement of pigeonholes, surrounding a ratchet adjustable leather inset writing surface, above three frieze drawers, raised on square tapered legs with brass cap castors.
